A copy of your International or Japanese Drivers license Front and Back are needed for all drivers. A copy of this needs to be passed onto the Police and to the Insurance Company.
The personal seal is a stamp that you have registered previously with your city, ward, town or village office and from which you can receive a Seal Certificate (inskan shomeisho). Only one personal seal is available by law and is only used for important dealings. To register the vehicle on your behalf we will need to exhibit your signature on the purchase documents and your personal seal. You can obtain one at your Embassy, local city, ward, town village office where you are registered as a resident. If you have not already registered a personal seal you will need one first.
We will require a copy of your resident card to present to the local police station and for insurance purposes on your behalf.
This contract is required if you would like us to represent you in all of the processes needed to complete registration on your vehicle. Being a two step process it consists of one document sheet stating we are entrusted by you to purchase the vehicle and finally a signature of acceptance when you receive the vehicle from us.
Required by law we require a map of the location, parking lot and position of your parking space. This can obtained by your landlord or through your relocation agency.
We require an Industry Standard 20% down payment on our vehicles being purchased in cash. A down payment is suggested for Financing but not necessarily needed. Subject to conditions.
Issued by the local Transport Branch Office we obtain on your behalf and will provide you with the inspection certificate when you purchase the car. Issued after the initial registration and inspection of the vehicle it is required to be kept in the vehicle at all times. If you do happen to lose it another one can be reissued.
When transferring ownership of a vehicle these forms are available to sign and stamp with your personal seal (jitsuin).
